2018 marked the 30th anniversary for Darat al Funun. This art institution has been the bedrock of Arab Contemporary Art in Amman, Jordan and has also been greatly influential on my development as an artist over the years. I am honored to have been invited to take part in the final installment exhibition of this show with a work partially created during a residency at ” the Dara” and inspired by the “Truth is Black, write over it with a mirage’s light” theme of this exhibition.
